Welcome to CodeFacility. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use CodeFacility.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

To access certain features of CodeFacility, including saving your progress, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

2. Use of the Platform

CodeFacility provides interactive coding lessons, code execution tools, community features, and educational content. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, the platform by anyone else.

You agree not to use our code execution environment to run malicious code, attempt to access other users' data, attempt to disrupt or overload our servers, or otherwise misuse the platform.

3. User Content

Any code, comments, posts, or other content you submit to CodeFacility (for example, in community sections) remains yours, but by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content as part of operating the platform. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or infringe on the rights of others.

4. Donations and Payments

CodeFacility accepts voluntary donations through PayPal and Buy Me a Coffee. Donations are processed by these third-party providers, and your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms. Donations may grant you certain contributor benefits, such as a contributor badge, golden username, or profile frame, at our discretion. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue contributor benefits at any time.

Refund requests should be directed to us through our Help & Support page, and will be handled in accordance with the refund information provided on our Donate page.

5. Intellectual Property

All course content, branding, graphics, and platform design on CodeFacility are owned by CodeFacility or our licensors, unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from our course content without permission, except for your own personal learning use.

6. Third-Party Services

CodeFacility relies on third-party services, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Judge0 for code execution, and PayPal for payment processing. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CodeFacility is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodeFacility and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or use the platform in a way that we reasonably believe is harmful to CodeFacility, other users, or third parties.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of CodeFacility after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
